BodypoeticA is defining a home for drawing Through, with, IN, beyond the Body
Drawing serves as an ongoing perceptual inquiry, inviting us to explore our presence and interconnectedness within the world— a fearless truth chord echoing through the bones and blood of time.
Through intentional movement and mark-making, drawing drives a profound understanding of the balance between self and environment. My engagement with drawing is rooted in reflecting and restoring this sacred equilibrium.

Art, movement, and exploration are fundamental to my practice. My interdisciplinary work blends practicality with consciousness studies, inspired by a lifelong commitment to learning and travel. With terminal degrees in fine art from Syracuse University and MICA's Hoffberger School of Painting, I have cultivated a deep passion for both creating and sharing the transformative power of art.
My international teaching and residency experiences span diverse mediums, formats, and landscapes—from painting, drawing, and sculpture to business and theory—across jungles, deserts, islands, and mega-cities. These experiences have shaped a practice rooted in the interconnectedness of place, body, and creative expression.
Since 2008, my explorations expanded into yoga, meditation, dance, and somatic arts, integrating mind, body, and spirit into my creative approach. With certifications in Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga, Integrative Somatic Arts, and Trauma-Focused Guided Drawing®, I bring a holistic perspective to creativity, fostering embodied awareness and intuitive expression.
I examine somatic and emotional imprints through a performative practice that spans drawing, movement, and video, teaching, making, and moving in places and spaces including: UArts, Moore College of Art and Design, Fleisher Art Memorial, SCAD Savannah and SCAD Hong Kong, Takt Kunstprojektraum, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts, New York Studio School, ArtHouse Pani, and STOA Center for Body Arts and Studies among others.
I am deeply passionate about facilitating creative expression in others. My courses weave artistic exploration with embodied practices, creating an experimental and insightful journey of self-discovery. This unique blend of somatic awareness and creative inquiry aims to heighten sensory perception, ignite intuition, and unlock potential for meaningful artistic expression.
drawing gives form to the full emotional spectrum
As a metaphoric vessel, drawing transforms emotions and ideas into evocative visual narratives, guided by the body's innate wisdom. For those with a curiosity about life, humanity, and the natural world, drawing creates vital connections—with one another, with our inner selves, and with our collective histories—ultimately opening pathways to new possibilities.
